Dr. Walrod,I do this all the time - direct at 350 on the main grate. Rub the pieces with oil before the rub and possibly a little extra afterward. I've done this without the oil a few times in the past and the skin came out quite tough.I usually do about 20 to 30 min skin side up first and 10 to 15min skin side down. Skin comes out tender and lightly crispy. Pull the thighs when temp is anywhere above 180 or so.Go light on any wood for smoke.
