This past weekend was my first try at smoking almonds. They came out delicious. I soaked 2 cups of almonds for 10 minutes in water, drained, rubbed w/EVOO, then hit with a heavy dose of Johnny's seasoning (salt based all-purpose seasoning). Ran the egg at 325 with some apple wood chunks. Threw threw the almonds in a foil covered (bottom only) vegetable wok for 25 minutes. Gave them a stir every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking. My question to this forum is has anyone tried to make these almonds sweet tasting? I am thinking Turbinado with some brown sugar? Maybe even some Molasses sugar.? Someone....Anyone...??Egg-N-Tino
