bbqjunkie, here are a couple pics of the xlwoo set up. The ring raises the grid approx. 2.75 inches. That is as high as you can go and still use the xl grid. The pan holder drops down just over 2 inches. The xl pizza stone is too big to fit on the pan holder, i.e. that's why I call it a pan holder, LOL! I can order round pizza pans up to 20 inches in diameter. I think 18 would be preferred. The only real update on the set-up is now I add feet to the lower ring. The feet hold the xlwoo on top of the fire ring for better stability.I've looked at several options to add an upper grid to this set up. Haven't really found one that works given the dome's shape and/or doesn't get in the way of the lower grid action. It's easy to add a smaller grid for raised grid cooking (one grid) but to me that seems somewhat defeating: why buy an xl only to use a smaller grid. If there is enough interest, I can approach a couple fabricators for a quantity run, similar to the stainless grid thing. I'd rather do a small production run than make them. It's easier for me (they are time consuming to make) and the end product would be more consistent. I don't own an xl, so not sure how productive this set-up is. Tom
