Georgie
bill,
Thanks for the link! Its weird that it didn't come up with those search key words since that is
the exact title. Anyway, thanks again for your help!
bill
Georgie,
link should take you there, it is not easy to find. et-7 is not the same as et-73. et-7 has 2 meat
probes and no cooker probe. good for two pieces of meat but not lo slo cook.
hope this helps

bill,
Thanks for the tip - and the search terms for amazon! I actually just looked using those terms and
all I could find is the et-72 and the et-7. The et-7 looks popular on amazon, is that the same as
the et-73? Any additional guidance from anyone out there in eggland? Thanks!

The Naked Whiz,
thanks for the tips . i have amazon prime $75 a year = free two day shipping on everything they
stock. hope you are enjoying your time at the \"love shack\" and i don't want to intrude BUT how
did you stop killing the probes?
thanks
bill
The Naked Whiz
bill,
I found a couple of ways to get polder probes a bit cheaper, sort of. Comforthouse.com used to have
a deal and probably still does where if you buy $50 worth of stuff from their kitchen store, you can
buy 2 probes for .99 each. Also, sometimes Amazon has free shipping and a discount in their kitchen
store. I bought 7 or 8 of them for about $6 each a while back. Of course, by then I learned how to
stop killing them, LOL

Georgie,
maverick industries et-73 is what i have, got it from amazon and seems to be what most of us use
[until you get to the bbq guru stage]. you have to search amazon for a bit to find it though. also i
recentley bought thermoworks 'original oven timer thermometer' it is on their home page. it
does not monitor egg temp only meat, but is easier to use and the probes are cheaper. i have killed
my maverick probes a few times. my advice is to buy an extra probe with what ever you get. but that
might be just \"me\"
i use the maverick for lo and slow where dome temp is crucial and the other one for turkey breast or
beef roasts where the dome temp is 325-350.
just went to amazon, to find et-73 there it is called \"maverick redichek remote wireless smoker
thermometer\"
