GirlyEgg,Counting breasts for various school and work functions, I will be doing a total of 5 in the week preceeding Thanksgiving -- so I think that makes the count 9.
Did a 20 pounder yesterday and fed 18 folks last night. Followed it up with two 8 pound breasts to send home with my daughters today. Don't know what I'm gonna do for Thanksgiving now. Maybe shrimp and grits? Also have a corned beef in to soak, so it will get smoked sometime later this week.
GirlyEgg, A little later on in the week, I'll post the page counter for Mad Max's Turkey recipe for last year and this year. That should be a fun number to consider also! But for your poll, I'm doing a turkey breast. So does that only count as 1/2? :-)TNW
The Naked Whiz, For the 7th year, I will smoke a Heritage, 14# bird, $5.50/lb. on the BGE using a Spanek tower.Forcast temp here in suburban Kansas City 32.
GirlyEgg, One tomorrow, another next Sunday. Already cooked two turkey breasts. I'm on a roll. No egg in sight for Thanksgiving day at my sisters so I work around that problem.
GirlyEgg, One injected breast last week for the office celebration, one rubbed 12 pounder on Sunday for a friend (his turkey and recipe, my BGE) to share with his office-mates, and a brined 21 pounder for Thanksgiving.Total = 2 1/2 juicy, smoke-infused turkeys.
