maverick industries et-73 is what i have, got it from amazon and seems to be what most of us use [until you get to the bbq guru stage]. you have to search amazon for a bit to find it though. also i recentley bought thermoworks 'original oven timer thermometer' it is on their home page. it does not monitor egg temp only meat, but is easier to use and the probes are cheaper. i have killed my maverick probes a few times. my advice is to buy an extra probe with what ever you get. but that might be just "me"
i use the maverick for lo and slow where dome temp is crucial and the other one for turkey breast or beef roasts where the dome temp is 325-350.
just went to amazon, to find et-73 there it is called "maverick redichek remote wireless smoker thermometer"
