Help with Rust
Date: 2007/09/06 15:58 By: Broc -- Just across the Muddy Mo from Omaha! Status: Visitor

Due to condensation within the EGG, my cast iron grid & daisy wheel are extremely rusted.

Any solutions... suggestions?

it doesnt seem to effect anything, heat up the grid, hit it with a scraper or a wire bush and wipe with oil to pick up any rust powder that came loose and cook on it. you can also season a daisy if you want to, i think the daisies are origionally painted with a stove paint

Yo! Take steel wool to knock off the loose stuff, then repaint with a high temp flat black. All stove and fireplace shops should have it. If not, contact us.
