Welcome to Egghead Forum...
The official online community for the Big Green Egg.
This forum has been provided for you to ask and answer questions and exchange ideas, experiences, and "Tips and Tricks" with other BGE owners and we want you to enjoy your visit. Although intended primarily for issues specific to the BGE, other generic posts, which apply to the BGE, are certainly welcome. We do, however, have a few simple rules and guidelines where this forum is concerned. If you feel that someone's post violates the forum rules, contact the Moderator via E-mail and let him handle it.
Rules:—Violating posts will be deleted.
Please stay "on-topic".
This forum is intended as a discussion platform related to all things "Big Green Egg". An occasional "off-topic" or "OT" is not a problem. But please use your good judgement and common sense and not make it a habit.
No profanity or lewd suggestive language.
An occasional "hell" or "damn" is not a problem. If you are uncertain as to the acceptability of a word or phrase, don't use it.
No "flaming" posts.
"Respond" rather than "React". Treat others on the forum with respect. There is no reason whatsoever to insult others with rude, demeaning name calling, insinuations, or accusations. If you feel compelled to carry on a personal exchange with someone on the forum, please use E-mail.
No advertising.
If a post requests information, it is acceptable to respond with addresses, phone numbers, or URL's that satisfy the request. Unsolicited advertising of products or home pages is not allowed.
DO NOT use the forum as your "Cyber Soapbox".
This is not the place to air your views on matters unrelated to the purpose of the forum or to vent your anger or dissatisfaction with anyone on, or off, the forum.
DO NOT POST confrontational messages, such as product comparisons.
These always lead to chaos and disruption of the forum. Posts deemed to be confrontational, or in violation of any of the forum regulations, will be deleted.

Before posting a new subject, try the archives.
This can save you a lot of time as many answers can be found in the Archives.
Avoid "handles" or "nicknames" which can easily be confused with others.
This can be a very ticklish subject. Remember, the forum is a "faceless" medium and the only way others have to recognize you is through your "handle" or "nickname".
Avoid using all CAPS when posting.
Many "internauts" consider this shouting and therefore rude. Caps should only be used for emphasis, like when you might raise your voice in conversation.
